Ómar R. Valdimarsson, Esq.

Ómar is a Supreme Court Attorney with a multifaceted background spanning two decades in the international media and business world. Ómar completed a B.Sc. in both Print Journalism and Broadcast Journalism from Suffolk University/Emerson College in Boston, USA, in 2002, while working alongside his studies at DV and later Fréttablaðið.

After graduating, he went on to establish Íslensk almannatengsl ehf., a public relations consultancy serving both domestic and international companies. In 2005, Ómar completed an MA in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics, while working concurrently. Following the economic collapse, he returned to his studies and graduated in 2013 from Reykjavik University with both a BA and an ML (Master of Law) degree in law. Ómar was the sole Bloomberg News correspondent in Iceland from 2009 to 2017.

Ómar was admitted to practice before the District Courts in 2015, before the Court of Appeals (Landsréttur) in 2021, and before the Supreme Court of Iceland in 2024.
